To improve performance increasingly bio-thermoplastics are used in injection moulding of plastics. The material won in parts from renewable materials mirrors the usage and processing characteristics of oil based PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). However, the production of the material uses less fossile fuels and releases less carbon dioxide than the production of PBT. Biomaterials have increasingly better surface properties and have less warpage than solely oil based products.
