Tool and Mould Making

The precise work procedure in tool and mould making is the foundation for the flawless injection moulding of plastics. Tolerances derived from the shape and size of the plastic product and the material properties have to be considered in mould making to warrant the desired properties of the plastic component. This is why we always manufacture our tools in close cooperation with our in-house development department.

The manufacturing of the tools is computer-aided. With the 3D data of the construction we generate CNC programmes for milling and eroding. All contour providing inserts are hardened, polished and finished by electric discharge machining or HSC milling. By using graphite technology we achieve very fine contours and complex geometries in very short throughput times. 

Equipped with a measurement report the single parts come together in the tools assembly are will be completed here. After sampling and measuring the reference samples we will create a first sample test report (EMPB as per VDA).

We only use graphite electrodes in our mould-making department. In contrast to normal copper electrodes they provide the erosion of much finer and more complex geometries. We use less electrodes and the milling process is remarkably faster.

Fast and precise tool-making

Contour providing milling or eroding is done on a computer aided based on the 3D construction data.
